learn more about me
Hi everyone,
My name is Norah Swenson (she/her)
I am a biology major, graduating this semester then entering my grad program here at UWGB researching native bee ecology
For this course, I am very excited to get back into using charcoal and pushing dimensions using the light of the paper and the charcoal. Sometimes I shy away from drawing with dark mediums and I am ready to challenge myself in that way
Art has always been something that has really helped calm me down, and connect with my family who all are artistic in some way. I took intro painting my freshman year and really was able to appreciate doing art to practice my techniques and improve skills, and I learned how it could help me cope with college stress and pressure
I think I am a 'talker' for communication, I like to talk about things over video calls -- I think even video recording would be an interesting way of communication. I love to communicate with people and am always open to talk
I'm looking forward to this class and seeing everyone's work throughout the semester (:

Here are some photos I have taken of bees for various research projects, bee conservation and ecology is really important to me.
